On Saturday,
September 5, 10-time
Grand National
Champion and
Springfield Mile
promoter Jared Mees
is teaming up with
Harley-Davidson for
a special Route 66
Centennial Ride to
the Illinois State
Fairgrounds. The
officially certified
Centennial event
will depart from
Conrad’s
Harley-Davidson and
travel along Route
66 on the way to the
Caterpillar
Springfield Mile.
Participation in the
ride is free with
the purchase of a
Springfield Mile
ticket, and the
first 75 registered
riders will receive
an exclusive event
T-shirt.
Then it is time for
two days of
Progressive American
Flat Track racing at
one of the sport’s
most historic
venues. Saturday’s
Springfield Mile I
features the Mission
Triple Challenge,
followed by
Springfield Mile II
on Sunday, September
6, as the
championship returns
to the Mile for the
final two races of
the 2026 season.
