
American
Racer USRA Modified Series Kicks Off April 14-15
The 2023 schedule for the
third thrilling season of the American Racer USRA
Modified Series presented by Day Motor Sports promises
to be the most exciting and lucrative to date, and the
action kicks off this weekend with the first two events
of 25 on this year's calendar.
The first event of
the year will take place Friday, April 14, at the Red
Dirt Raceway in Meeker, Oklahoma, and then moves to the
legendary Lawton Speedway in Lawton, Oklahoma, on
Saturday, April 15.
Both events will award a
$2,000 paycheck to the main event winner with no less
than $250 going to every feature race starter each
night.
Red Dirt Raceway will host Gamblers Night
this Friday with a double money option for racers. Pit
gates open at 5 p.m. and grandstand gates open at 6 with
racing at 7:30. General admission is $20 and high school
students are just $5. Kids 5 and under are free. The
tailgate area is $80 per carload with up to eight people
per car (everyone must be in the vehicle when it enters
the tailgate area).
In addition to the
fire-breathing USRA Modifieds, Friday night's show will
feature non-sanctioned B-Mods, Factory Stocks, Tuners,
Sprint Cars (winged two-barrel + 305), Non-Wing Micros
and NOW600 Sooner State Dwarf Cars.
The Red Dirt
Raceway is a 1/4-mile clay oval with a fast-paced,
high-energy environment located at 990871 S Hwy 18,

Saturday in Lawton, gates open at 5
p.m. and the first green flag waves at 7:30. Adults are
$20 while Military w/id, Kids 12-15 and Seniors 60+ are
just $15. Kids ages 6-11 are $2 and children 5 and under
get in for free. Add $3 for reserved seats. Pit passes
are $35.
Fans will also witness USRA Limited Mods
and Sunoco USRA Factory Stocks in action with
Mini-Stocks rounding out the card.
The Lawton
Speedway is a 1/4-mile high-banked red clay oval located
2.5 miles west of I-44 (exit 36) on SR 7 (Lee Blvd.),
then 1.5 miles south to 3501 SW Sheridan Rd, Lawton, OK

The recently published
schedule of events reveals 23 nights of racing at 15 of
the finest dirt ovals in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma
and Texas. The 2023 campaign is slated to wrap up with
the 3rd Annual ARMS Nationals at the Rocket Raceway Park
in Petty, Texas, on Friday and Saturday, October 27-28.
Each of the venues will host one or more USRA
Modified events with drivers earning series points as
well as Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series national
points.

points. Chris Henigan of Marshall, Texas, is the
reigning series champion. Triston Dycus took the title
in 2020 and 2021.
