Sander Stops Gregg With
ASCS Southwest Score at USA

Wheatley, TUCSON, Ariz. (June 7, 2008) – El Paso's Shawn
Sander put a stop to Ben Gregg's four-race win streak in American
Sprint Car Series Southwest Region action by topping Saturday
night's 25-lap feature at USA Race Park.
After Billy
Chester III paced the opening ten circuits, Sander took command and
raced to the checkered flag aboard the Motor Mike-powered Danny
Sander Construction No. 48 Maxim.
Sander beat Gregg
to the stripe, with Chester settling for the show position. Rick
Ziehl claimed fourth, with Cody Cambensy charging from 15th
to round out the top five.
Mike Rux, Jr.,
was sixth, with Steve Martin, Ronnie Clark, Joshua Williams and
Perry McMillin completing the top ten.
Ziehl, Martin and
McMillin topped heat race action.
