Stock Car Spectacular On Deck at DCRP!

 

Lonnie Wheatley, DODGE CITY, Kan. (May 25, 2017) – With Dodge City Raceway Park set for round three of championship chase action on Sunday, the Memorial Day weekend event that offers free admission to military personnel serves yet another purpose for the IMCA Stock Car ranks.

 

For those in the IMCA Stock Cars, Sunday’s tilt provides one final opportunity to get dialed in for the Inaugural Stock Car Spectacular that headlines the June 3 card just six nights later atop the 3/8-mile clay oval in southwest Kansas.

 

The Stock Car Spectacular on Saturday, June 3, will feature a full slate of racing action that also includes the Precise Racing Products DCRP Sprint Cars, IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Modifieds and IMCA Hobby Stocks.

 

The Stock Car Spectacular winner will pocket a hefty $750 with all feature starters earning a minimum of $100.

 

Two-time and reigning track champion Michael Pepper of Lakin, KS, and current points leader Angel Munoz of Lamar, CO, will take on a host of challengers for the big Stock Car Spectacular payoff.

 

Munoz has topped the opening two rounds of IMCA Stock Car action at DCRP this season to open an early 17-point advantage over Pepper in the title chase with Jack Pepper, Travis Baird and Dusty Witthuhn also among the early top five.

 

The full feature payout for the Stock Car Spectacular is as follows:  1st - $750, 2nd - $500, 3rd - $400, 4th - $300, 5th - $275, 6th - $250, 7th - $225, 8th - $200, 9th - $175, 10th - $150, 11th - $125, 12th - $120, 13th - $115, 14th - $110, 15th - $100, 16th - $100, 17th - $100, 18th - $100, 19th - $100, 20th - $100.

 

Tickets to the Stock Car Spectacular on Saturday, June 3, that also includes DCRP Sprint Cars, IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Modifieds and IMCA Hobby Stocks are just $15 for adults with children 11 and under admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
