Little DCRP clay oval at Dodge City Raceway Park is back in
action this Sunday with a full slate of racing action including
Micro Sprint Cars and Karts.
With the heat of the summer kicking in, the start time has been
shifted to 6:30 p.m. with an evening of racing featuring Micro
Sprint divisions including Winged “A” Class, Non-Wing “A” Class,
Restricted “A” Class and Junior Sprints (Novice and Advanced)
along with Go Karts (Junior and Adult), Open Outlaw Go Karts and
500-cc Outlaw Cage Karts.
Pit Gates open at 3:30 p.m. Draw will begin
at 4:30 p.m. and end at 5:30 p.m. with hot laps getting under
way at 5:45 p.m.
Four racers will try to remain undefeated atop the 1/7-mile clay
oval with Tanner Johnson (Winged “A” Class), Trey Zorn
(Restricted “A” Class), Deekan McRoberts (Novice Junior Sprints)
and Caleb Berthof (Junior Karts) all going three-for-three thus
far after the initial round was cut short by storms.
General admission to the grandstands is just $10 with children
11 and under admitted free. Pit passes are $20.
Sunday’s card marks the fifth of eight scheduled Sunday events
atop the Little DCRP clay oval.
In total, the 2019 season atop the 3/8-mile Dodge City Raceway
Park clay oval is slated for 18 nights of action along with
another eight Sunday cards atop the newly-constructed 1/7-mile
Little DCRP clay oval.
