McIntosh Set for ASCS Red River Region Double

Lonnie Wheatley, BIXBY, Okla. (May 17, 2018) – A weekend of winged Sprint Car action is in store for Cannon McIntosh as he takes in a pair of ASCS Red River Region events.

The weekend begins at Creek County Speedway near Tulsa on Friday night before shifting southwest on the turnpike to Lawton Speedway on Saturday night.

The events will mark just the third and fourth nights of winged Sprint Car action aboard the RL Hudson No. 08 for the 15-year-old after posting a top-ten finish in his first start in a recent Regional event at Creek County Speedway.

“I felt like we had good speed there, I’m looking forward to getting back out there this weekend,” McIntosh commented.

It will be a return to action for McIntosh after his Midget was damaged just one night after scoring his first career POWRi National series podium.  The team is hoping to have the Toyota-powered Midget back in action by next weekend’s POWRi West double at Garden City, Kansas’ Airport Raceway.

Along with RL Hudson and Toyota-TRD, other marketing partners making the ambitious 2018 slate of events possible includes American Discount, Complete Auto Care, Best Graphics, Fieldhouse Gear, Precision Inspection, Sanders and Associates, Panels by Smoke, Walker Performance, Sanders Wheels, American Discount Brake and Muffler, D&N Fabrication, Car and Fleet and Infinity Shocks.

2018 Quick Stats:  9 races, 2 top-fives, 5 top-tens.

Up Next: ASCS Red River Region at Creek County Speedway (Sapulpa, OK) on Friday and Lawton (OK) Speedway on Saturday night.
