Schniepp Breaks Through for First-Career NCRA Modified Victory!
Salina, Kansas - August 31, 2018 - It has been quite a year for Cody Schniepp. Despite not reaching victory lane, yet thanks to nine top ten finishes in the previous nine events that have been held, the Wichita, Kansas driver led the point standings for the first half of the season. Only current series point leader Tanner Mullens five victories on the season knocked Cody out of the point lead in mid-July. But you canít keep determination out of victory lane for long as Cody claimed his first career National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products modified feature Friday night at Salina Speedway in Salina, Kansas.

Schniepp and Brandon Massey started on the front row for the twenty-five-lap feature with Schniepp taking the lead as the green flag fell. Schniepp would lead the entire distance and out run defending tour champion Dan Powers to the line for his first series victory in his first full season on the tour.

Powers would hold on for second while seventh-starting Tyler Davis coming home third. Brandon Massey settled for fourth while ninth-starting T.J. Tolan rounded out the top five.

Current series points leader Mullens finished sixth and, coupled with Schniepps victory, now holds a slim fifteen-point lead heading into tonightís (Saturday) stop at 81 Speedway in Park City to wrap up a Labor Day weekend double-header for the tour.
