Remaining Dates for
81 Speedway and Speedway’s Inc. Announced!
Park
City, Kansas – August 3, 2017 - Speedway’s Inc. and 81
Speedway in Park City, Kansas has announced the balance
of the 2017 race schedule with several special events
dotting the agenda at four different venues as the
season is winding its way down.
The
tracks regular weekly divisions consisting of 360-ci
sprint cars; modfiieds, AAA modified; rookie modified;
Street stocks; Thumpers; Hornets; Cruisers and mod-lites
will all see action on selected weekends beginning this
coming Saturday night, August 5, with the regular weekly
racing season concluding on Saturday, September 30, with
heat races starting at 2:00 PM and year-end championship
features at 7:00 PM.

A slew
of special events at 81 Speedway are schedule, ranging
from wing and non -wing sprint cars to World of Outlaw
late models to United States Modified Touring Series
modifieds and all-things National Championship Racing
Association.
There
will be three-straight nights of racing action at the
speedway from August 18-20 featuring non-wing sprint
cars. Crate late models, weekly racing action and USMTS.
The
first special event scheduled is a Friday night (August
18) appearance for the annual “Freedom 40,” featuring
the USAC Southwest non-wing sprinters. They will be
joined on the race card by the NCRA crate late model
division.
Then the
first night of the annual “Wix Filters/Bumper to Bumper
Auto Parts” night will take place on Saturday night
(August 19) featuring the tracks weekly racing program
consisting of 360-ci sprints, modifieds, AAA modifieds,
rookie modifieds, mod-lites and thumpers.
For the
fifth year in a row the USMTS “Hunt for the Casey’s Cup”
make an appearance at the speedway to close out the
weekend on Sunday night, August 20 with a special start
time of 6:00 PM.
Labor
Day weekend Saturday night (September 2) will see all
four NCRA divisions on the racing card, consisting of
the series sprint, modified, crate late model and
mod-lite divisions.
The next
special event slated for 81 Speedway will be on Sunday
night, September 24, featuring the inaugural appearance
by the WoO late model division with some of the top late
model stars making their way to the track with a special
start time of 6:00 PM.
It will
be an “all sprint car” Saturday night, October 14, as
the NCRA sprints will be joined by the Oklahoma-based
Oil Capital Racing Series (OCRS) and the Kansas-based
United Rebel Sprint Series (URSS). The same racing card
back over Memorial Day weekend saw a total of 93 sprint
cars pit side in an event fans still talk about today.
The 2017
track season will come to a conclusion on Thursday –
Saturday night, November 2-4, with the running of the
“Park City Classic” featuring the USMTS.
Speedway’s Inc., consisting of general manager C Ray
Hall and the whole 81 Speedway crew, have leased three
tracks for special events with the first slated for
Monday night, September 11, at the Kansas State
Fairgrounds in Hutchinson with a demo derby.
The crew
will load up and head to Thunder Hill Speedway in
Mayetta, Kansas on Saturday night, September 16, with
the NCRA sprint cars, modified and crate late models on
the agenda.
Speedway’s Inc. final out-of-town event will be the
second annual “Final Four” featuring all four NCRA
divisions at Salina (KS) Speedway on Saturday night,
October 7. The series sprint car division will be joined
by the Nebraska 360 Sprint Car Series.
