Enid Speedway Awaits
Sprint Cars and More Next Saturday Night!
Enid,
Oklahoma – August 3, 2017 - On Saturday night, August
12, the Garfield County Fairgrounds in Enid, Oklahoma
will once again come to life this season as Enid
Speedway presents “The Summer Sizzler,” yet another
action-packed night of racing action atop the famed Enid
Speedway oval.
Highlighting the night will be the inaugural appearance
from the Sprint Series of Oklahoma IMCA RaceSaver Sprint
Car Series presented by Smiley’s Racing Products. SSO
and IMCA national points will be up for grabs as the
second year 305-ci sprint series is expected to bring a
full-field of winged sprint cars for their Enid debut.
The
Sooner Modified Series, making their third appearance of
the season, has posted a car count of close to thirty
modifieds in both previous events with Mickey Lassiter
and Cole Traugott posting victories.
Also on
the race card will be the Sooner Sport Mod Series, the
WOW wingless sprint car series, pure stocks and
mini-stocks.
The
Backhand Band will be performing during pre-race
festivities from 2:30 PM until 4:30 PM.
Gates
will open at 3:00 PM with hot laps set for 5:00 PM.
Green flag heat race action is slated for a 6:00 PM
start time.
Grandstand admission is $15 for adults; Seniors,
military and students ages 12-15 admission is $12 while
kids ages eleven and under. All pit passes are $30.
There
will be an open practice session on Friday night (August
11) from 7:00 PM until 10:00 PM.
