DEFENDING WERA
CHAMPIONS TO RACE GRAVES
MOTORSPORTS-PREPPED
BIKES AND VIE FOR
$40,000 IN WIN BONUSES
VAN NUYS, Calif.
(January 25, 2010) --
Graves Motorsports
is proud to announce
that defending WERA
Mediumweight Superbike
Endurance champion, Team
Zyvax, has signed up to
ride Graves-prepared
Yamaha R6s and compete
for the company's
recently unveiled $5000
WERA win bonus program.
Graves is offering $5000
for first place at each
of the eight WERA
National Endurance
events in the
Mediumweight Superbike
class. To assist racers
and teams during the
series, Graves will also
have parts and technical
support staff on hand at
each round.
"I am excited to work
with Team Zyvax," said
Graves Motorsports
President Chuck Graves,
a championship-winning
endurance racer and team
owner himself. "It takes
hundreds of hours to
develop top-level race
bikes and years to build
a title-winning team.
With Graves providing
race-prepped Yamaha R6s
and Zyvax supplying the
team, I believe we're
creating a win-win
relationship. Teams
don't get to be
endurance racing
champions without
careful planning and
major attention to the
details. I expect that
Team Zyvax will be
cashing a few checks for
their efforts."
Zyvax
team owner JB Layman
said, "Getting help from
Graves Motorsports
with the bikes is great.
The best part of the
program for me is having
trackside support at
every race. Now, if we
need a part or something
is not working right,
they will be there with
whatever we need. I
believe that this will
be the part we were
missing last year to get
to the top of the
overall podium. I am
expecting great things
out of the team for this
year."
