Lonnie Wheatley, ODESSA, Mo. (May 20, 2022) – It is just one week away, as I-70 Motorsports Park hosts the United Rebel Sprint Series-sanctioned 305 Sprint Car Nationals on Friday and Saturday, May 27-28.
The Saturday night finale will offer up a $3,000 winner’s share with $400 to start after Friday’s $1,000-to-win preliminary event.
While the URSS 305 Sprint Cars will have the 4/10-mile clay oval to itself on Friday night, the USRA B-Modifieds and USRA Stock Cars will join in on Saturday’s action with $1,000-to-win up for grabs in both divisions.
After Ness City, Kansas’ Luke Cranston and Liberal, KS, native Jason Maritn split preliminary honors in last year’s edition of I-70 Motorsports Park’s 305 Sprint Car Nationals, Martin reigned as king in the finale by taking the checkered flag ahead of Zach Blurton and Ty Williams with Cranston and Jeremy Huish rounding out the top five.
Liberal, Kansas’ Steven Richardson is out to the early 2022 URSS points lead ahead on the strength of a pair of wins with Jake Martens, Blurton, Taylor Velasquez and Cranston among the current top five.
The All Star Circuit of Champions format will be in place for both nights of 305 Sprint Car Nationals competition.
Gates open at 5:00 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday with racing action going green at 7:30 p.m.
General Admission tickets are available for $20 each night along with Party Deck, RV Trackside Camping and Guest Suites. Detailed ticket information is available at https://tickets.thefoat.com/I70MotorsportsPark/305+Nationals/tickets/id-1q0P4qzIB8xW/.
